ROSEMARY HUA, Chief Finance Officer

Rosemary co-founded UCCC with Crystal Wang and Mosa Tsay at UC Berkeley in 2012. She has attended every UCCC conference since 2013 and is inspired every year by its many fruits.

Rosemary currently works as the Director of Global Data Engineering at Walmart Labs and the CEO of the Revolution Robotics Foundation, a non-profit education tech company that creates open source robotics kits and mobile apps for kids to build and control their own custom robots and remote controllers. In her spare time, Rosemary also manages another global non-profit organization called Empathy FX International, which builds and maintains schools in Ghana. Rosemary graduated from UC Berkeley with simultaneous degrees in Business Administration from the Haas School of Business and Political Science from the College of Letters & Sciences.

CRYSTAL WANG, Chief Executive Officer

Crystal co-founded UCCC with Rosemary Hua and Mosa Tsay in 2012. She helped lead UCCC 2013 and UCCC 2014 at UC Berkeley. When Crystal came back to the Bay Area in 2018 after her residency in Texas, she was inspired to form the Board and establish UCCC as a non-profit.

Crystal currently works as an optometrist and practices in the Bay Area. She also teaches part-time at the University of California Berkeley School of Optometry as a Clinical Assistant Professor. Crystal obtained her residency in low vision rehabilitation and sees patients at the LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired in San Francisco. In addition, Crystal is the VP of Recruitment for See the Lord, a non-profit providing free eye exams, glasses, healthcare, education, and catechesis to the under-served around the world.

ANTHONY VONG, Chief Programs Officer

Anthony attended the first UCCC at UC Berkeley 2013 and was inspired to lead the UCCC 2017 team at UCLA. Anthony works to maintain UCCC repository, planning documents and communication between the Board and host schools. He works with the student teams at the host university to provide guidance with planning and support.

Anthony currently works as a Systems Engineer at Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems and graduated from UCLA with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

 

SUJIN HONG, Chief Operating Officer

Sujin was on the original UCCC 2013 team at UC Berkeley. Currently, she’s the Board’s project manager and works closely with the annual UCCC student leadership team to support logistics. She is very excited to be back with the UCCC community and serve the mission as a working young adult.

Sujin currently works as an Administrator at Warner Bros. Her work background includes teaching at a private Catholic school, customer support at a small family-operated catalog company, and administration at a court reporting firm. Sujin earned her BA in Art History at UC Berkeley.

CHRISTOPHER SILVA, Co-Chief of Liturgy & Spirituality

Christopher has been a participant in UCCC since 2013. Previously in formation as a Capuchin Franciscan brother, he contributed to the UCCC 2014 core team at UC Berkeley in the area of Spirituality and Liturgy. The Co-Chairs of Liturgy and Spirituality share the responsibility of ensuring the spiritual care of the Executive Board. In addition, they consult with the core team in spiritual and ecclesial matters in conference planning to ensure all ecclesial formalities are observed.

Christopher currently works as the Chaplain’s Assistant at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.

Br. Andrew Thomas Kang attended the first UCCC 2013 at UC Berkeley and served as member of the planning team for UCCC 2015 at UC San Diego.

Br. Andrew Thomas is currently a student brother in the Order of Preachers (Dominicans). In formation, Br. Andrew Thomas is preparing for the Roman Catholic Priesthood and though his affiliation with the Conference and Church is well qualified to lead and contribute to the Spiritual growth and logistics assisting in the planning of a Catholic Conference.

Spiritual Advisor

Fr. Michael Augustine was first introduced to UCCC by the co-founders in 2012 while he was pastor at St. Mary Magdalen parish in North Berkeley. He was asked to be a spiritual advisor at the time, but was to be soon relocated to UC Riverside (UCR) as campus minister. He loved the vision of UCCC and encouraged UCR students to attend UCCC each year. Now back in the Bay Area, he is excited to be the Spiritual Advisor to the UCCC Board.

Fr. Michael Augustine is a Dominican Friar of the Western Dominican Province. He is the Director of Planning, Evangelization, and Discipleship.
